Lake Balaton, a large, 72 km long, shallow and warm-watered lake can be divided into three distinct tourist regions. This is not simply an administrative classification but  based on the fact that all three regions have their own natural and cultural treasures and offer unique vacationing opportunities.

Southern Lake Balaton – At the Southern Shore, the major family attraction is represented by several km long, shallow free-access beaches, such as the Golden Shore and the Silver Shore in Siófok, the 4 km long beach at Zamárdi, or even Balatonlelle.

Siófok, the center of the region is often referred to as the summer capital of Hungary. It has the most vibrant nightlife of the Balaton summer session, as well as the Europe-wide known entertainment center, C.C. Beach House.

Many spas famous for their healing waters can be found here: the most famous one is Hévíz, where the largest thermal lake of Europe is located. The region is centered around Keszthely, which, besides being a famous resort town, is the oldest historical town in the Lake Balaton area, the wonderful, Baroque Festetics Palace is also located here. 
All lakeside communities in the area have pleasant beaches and this is also the cheapest region of Lake Balaton, where our guest can reserve accommodation at affordable prices.

Northern Lake Balaton – This region has the greatest geographic diversity, which is also referred to as the Balaton Riviera. Among its most famous natural formations are the Badacsony Hill as well as the other surrounding volcanic hills, which offer picturesque views to the visitor, or the Tihany Peninsula, which possesses a Mediterranean character both in climate and atmosphere, its major sight is the famous, twin-towered Benedictine

Abbey. The best wines in the Balaton region are produced from grapes grown on the sunny hillsides alongside the lake (Badacsony, Csopak).

The natural treasures of the Northern Shore are protected in the Balaton Upper Region National Park. The center of the Northern Shore, Balatonfüred is a high-class resort full of pleasant promenades, beaches, entertainment centers and exclusive accommodation.
